Description:
Collaborated on the design and fabrication of this 30 foot mirror stainless steel landmark sculpture commissioned by Integral Communities and donated to the City of Tracy. Representing a kapok tree, the sculpture was engineered and fabricated in sections to anchor the Tracy Hills roundabout as a lasting civic feature.
I developed the 2D and 3D design drawings, prepared structural and base plans, and worked closely with the developer, architects, and engineers throughout the approval and fabrication process. The exterior skin is composed of custom formed mirror stainless steel tiles, designed to wrap the structure while reflecting light and landscape from every angle.
